The school rules have been established in partnership with the community over a long period of time. They reflect the school community’s expectations in terms of acceptable standards of behaviour, dress and personal presentation in the widest sense. Students are expected to follow the school rules at all times when on the school grounds, representing the school, attending a school activity or when clearly associated with the school i.e. when wearing school uniform
STUDENTS HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO:
- To attend school regularly
- To respect the right of others to learn
- To respect their peers and teachers regardless of ethnicity, religion or gender
- To respect the property and equipment of the school and others
- To carry out reasonable instructions to the best of their ability
- To conduct themselves in a courteous and appropriate manner in school and in public
- To keep the school environment and the local community free from litter
- To observe the uniform code of the school
- To read all school notices and bring them to their parents’/guardians’ attention
The following are not to be brought inside the school campus:
- Alcohol or drugs in any form
- Chemicals
- Cigarettes or tobacco
- Knives or other weapons, including BB guns
- Matches/lighters/explosive or dangerous material
- COSMETICS OR ANY JEWELRIES
- ELECTRONICS (WITHOUT THE PRIOR PERMISSION OF THE PRINCIPAL)
- Skateboards or scooters or similar
- Expensive bicycles or bicycle accessories or other costly equipment

All articles of clothing's, shoes, books, bags and other personal property should be clearly marked with the owner’s name.

ABSENCES, LEAVE APPLICATION AND LATE
LATES. Teachers and Students must be at school by 8.45am. Latecomers must report to the Attendance Office before going to class. The student will only be admitted to class by the teacher upon presentation of a ”Late Pass” from the Attendance Officer.

After an absence from school a boy must bring, on the day of return, a note signed by his parents/guardian, stating the reason for the absence and take it to the Attendance Officer. In the event of the absence exceeding 2 days, the school should be informed whilst the student is absent from school. A pupil will not be allowed to write their exams if they have their present percentage below 75% and is irregular in class.

The process of applying for leave is for parents/guardians to write to the Headmaster well in advance, notifying dates and the reason for absence. Each application is considered fully by the student’s teachers and Deans, before being granted or otherwise by the Headmaster.

EXEAT PASSES
Students are required to attend all classes and remain in the school grounds. No student may leave the school grounds during interval or lunch without prior permission. This includes collecting books/gear from cars.
When leaving school during the day to attend dental/medical or similar appointments, the students must sign in and out at the Attendance Office or to see a Dean.

KEEPING SCHOOL CLEAN
It is the responsibility of every student in the school, not only the ECO CLUB, to ensure that the school is free from litter. Students are also encouraged to take the responsibility for litter in their immediate vicinity and place any litter in the many bins placed around the school. Students must keep their area clean.
GENERAL REGULATIONS
- Students are expected to be punctual to school and may not leave the school premises without the permission. Late comers are liable to be sent home.
- Students are expected to come to school wearing the school uniform and to be always neat and clean in dress.
- On their way to and school they are expected to conduct themselves, in manner.
- Students are responsible for the safe custody of their books and person belongings brought to school. Excessive amount of money to school is not allowed.The School authority will not be responsible for loss of such money.
- Parents/Guardians are not permitted to visit the children or to interview the school staff.
- Parents/ Guardians are requested to sign the students test report and also their Regularity Record giving reasons for their child’s absence.
- Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, neglect of homework, disobedience and disrespect toward teachers and members of the staff, or bad moral influence will justify dismissal.
- Student’s absence from examinations for any reason whatsoever will not be re-examined. The marks obtained in the Weekly Tests. Terminal and Final Examinations will be considered for promotion.
- Parents are requested not to discuss school matters with teachers during school hours. Parents who seek information or who wish to make any complaint should contact the Director (and not the class teacher).
- Parents /Guardians are expected to co-operate in the work of the school by enforcing regularity. They should check the diary for any remarks and note the home work set.
- Students must bring their lunch to school. They are strictly forbidden to leave the school during the noon meals, unless they have permission to go home for lunch. This permission must be requested by the parents in writing.
- Every student MUST speak in ENGLISH while in the school as well as outside if he/she is in school uniform.
- Fees must be paid at the Indian Overseas Bank by the 15the of the month. A late fee of Rs 10/- per day will be charged. Defaulters will be debarred form examinations. Nonpayment of fees for three consecutive months will lead to a student’s name being struck off the school register.
- Cash payments are requested for needlework materials and Art material
- The school diary is a record concerning the student’s .Therefore; every student should take special care of the diary and bring it to the class daily. If it is lost the student should buy a duplicate diary
- Student taking part in games and other extra-curricular activities are requested toback after school on special days.
- Parents/Guardians are not to go to the classrooms
- All damage to the school property must be remedied at the cost of the school.
- IPods and cell phones are not allowed in the school premises. If such items are confiscated then it shall not be returned .stern action will be taken against students bringing such items to school.
- Chewing of tobacco and smoking cigarette are severe offences and possession of such items will either lead to suspension or expulsion of students from school.
- It is important for a student to attend the first day of school after any vacation and the last day of school before a vacation and the last day of school before a vacation. Defaulters will be fined.
- Bullying, spreading rumors, discrimination and labelling a student is strictly prohibited. A quick action will be made againts the defaulter.
- Books and Stationery items must be bought in the school stationery itself.
